These looks are all just [chef’s kiss]! I particularly love the hip-length coats in picture 1 and the hats in 3 and 4. We need more choice in hats!
Why did photographers throw all this away for the plasticised stuff those who remain produce today? The same question comes to mind when I think about music…
It only needs a brief look at Ernst Haas’s photos of Marilyn on the set of The Misfits to see how much has been lost to the later notions of celebrity photography. In the old photos people appeared human, there was a natural attraction to them as fellow humans that created the imaginary bonding, the adoration of fans; those manufactured, over-Photoshopped presentations of today’s flawless faces leave me cold – I might as well be in a toy shop looking at dolls.
