When did we get so prudish about ladies nipples? This beautiful image was a double page advert in a mainstream magazine in 1975, and apparently also used in the packaging, but people have their Instagram accounts deleted and Facebook posts censored for far less in 2014.

Can’t say I know much about Secret Ingredient, beyond the pieces I’ve seen in Ritz, but I was delighted to see that Diana Crawshaw (who was also one of the key designers for Mr Freedom) designed the clothes featured in this advert.

I remember reading that one of Miss Selfridge’s early achievements was a Pierre Cardin diffusion range, so it was lovely to spot this advert in Vogue (plus Guy Laroche). I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one turn up, so I’d be fascinated to see what the label looked like.
