We cheered the twinset revolution earlier this year, now amazing things are happening to sweaters. They look good and they’re warm as well. It’s no wonder that they’re the fastest selling items in the shops!

They’re a knock-out

How does a really cool lady knock spots off the opposition? Sneakily. She discards her vibrant purples and blacks, climbs sweetly into pure white undies and, as innocently as a schoolgirl, demolishes all resistance.

While this editorial can’t quite work out how regressive or feminist it wants to be, I cannot fault the pom-pom platform shoes which are all by City Lights Studio (aka post-Mr Freedom Tommy Roberts and far too short-lived). I would definitely karate chop for those babies.

Inspirational Images: Pin Me Down

A very sweet idea for livening up plain knitted or felt hats – but careful with felt because the pinholes might stick around once you remove the brooches. I have actually just bought a beautiful crocheted cloche myself (a move to the coast requires forward planning when you have long hair!) so the top picture is making me long for the proper cold days of December and January. I know, I know, je suis étrange…

Tweedy Autumn Perfection

This spread is everything I love about Autumn and Winter, and how I am often attired. Interesting clothes: textures, colours and embellishments; hats, scarves, tights etc. But sometimes I seem to forget to post more daywear spreads, I suppose because they were often less interestingly photographed and displayed; sometimes even borderline chaotic. But I don’t see why that needs or needed to be. Daytimes can be the most expressive times for me…

This shoot is particularly beautiful and, for me, inspirational.
